About the event
As a collegiate athlete and an adult committed to recreational exercise, I was excited to learn about how fruits and vegetables make a difference in recovery. Dr. Phillips will discuss Oxidative Stress and the role that antioxidents, specifically fruits and vegetables, play in reducing free radical damage. As a Physical Therapist, I look for the science. Dr. Phiillips does a great job of explaining the science without getting to complicated. He will explain the biology at the cellular level, the mitochondria, and how and why nutrition impacts our bodies abiity to perform.
